Surabhi Mudra

Surabhi Mudra is performed by touching the tips of Little Finger ( Water ) of left hand to the Ring Finger ( Earth ) of the right hand, and again Little Finger ( Water ) of right hand to the Ring Finger ( Earth ) of the left hand.  Same way the Middle Fingers ( Space ) of both the hands should touch the Index Finger ( Air ) of the other Hand. Keeping the Thumbs ( Fire ) extended.

This mudra can be performed for 15 Minutes in a day. This mudra is very much helpful for curing Rheumatism.

Hakini Mudra

Hakini Mudra is performed by all joining all the tips of the fingers, Thumb ( Fire ), Index Finger ( Air ), Middle Finger ( Space ), Ring Finger ( Earth ) and Little Finger ( Water ), of both the hands and making bottom part of the hands to be apart, it is like pressing the tips of all the fingers expanding the bottom part.

This mudra can be performed during any leisure time, basically this mudra increases intelligence. You can also perform this mudra during talks, meetings etc.. This will help you a lot. Performing this mudra regularly will benefit you with intelligence. It is studied that this mudra promotes the co-operation between left and right side brains.

When you want to remember something, you can also do the following with this mudra. Performing Hakini Mudra, look upwards and while inhaling place tip of your tongue on your gums, and let it fall while exhaling. Now take a deep breath and you what ever you were about to remember will occur into your mind. This mudra not only helps remembering the things but also helps you in making good ideas when concentrated on a particular thing for a long time.

Samaan Vayu Mudra

Samaan Vayu Mudra is performed by joining all the finger tips Index Finger ( Air ), Middle Finger ( Space ), Ring Finger ( Earth ) and Little Finger ( Water ) with Thumb ( Fire ). This can be done for 10-15 Minutes sitting in Sukhasan before and after eating the food/meals daily.

Samaan Vayu Mudra

Samaan Vayu mudra helps in digestion of food properly and resist to the formation of gases and acids in the body. It cures liver dysfunction.

Apana Vayu Mudra or Mritsanjeevani Mudra

Apana Vayu or Mritsanjeevani Mudra is combination of Vayu Mudra and Apana Mudra. First Fold the Index Finger ( Air ) to the root of the Thumb ( Fire ) and then join the tips of Middle Finger ( Space ), Ring Finger ( Earth ) and Thumb ( Fire ). The little finger is left straight. Should be performed with empty stomach.

Apana Vayu Mudra

Apana vayu mudra prevents Heart Attack if practised regularly. People having Heart Related Problems or Weak Heart should perform daily for 45 Minutes. This mudra cures heart as well as vata-dosa related problems. This mudra can be performed when heart attack occurs, this provides relief. This mudra is also good for headaches,  High Blood Pressure, asthama. It also releases gas from the stomach.

Vayu Mudra

Vayu Mudra is performed by folding the Index finger ( Air ) to the root of the Thumb ( Fire ) and putting a slight pressure on it with the thumb and keeping the other fingers straight but relaxed. can be performed while walking, sitting, lying.

Vayu Mudra

Regular practice of Vayu mudra will benefit you by curing Vayu ( Air ) related problems like Gas Formation, Pain in Joints, Constipation, Gout, Arthritis, Paralysis, Parkinson’s Disease, Knee Pain, Chest Pain, etc.. Which are caused due to the imbalance of Air element inside the body. This will also benefit you from disorders of blood circulation. Results are better when performed after Prana Mudra.
